A View of UVM

Historic Hill Section homes look over the lake, adding to the high architectural appeal of the city. Many recognized historic districts call the Hill Section home. Burlington’s industrialists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries constructed Italianate, Queen Anne and Colonial Revival houses here. The fast-growing campus of innovative Champlain College is tucked in the Hill Section.
